UnderWindowsVistaorWindows7youcanreachtheUPSconfigurationdialogviathelinkintheStart

menu:Start>AllPrograms>BECKHOFF>UPSSoftwareComponents>UPSConfiguration

TheUPSconfigurationsettingscanbemadesolelybyauserwithadministratorrights.Thecorresponding

dialogsaredisabledforotherusers.

Languageselection:FromUPSsoftwareversion>=2.0.0.9thelanguageoftheUPSdialogscanbe

selectedatruntime.Thelanguagesettingsarepermanentlystoredforallusersiftheyhavebeenchanged

byauserwithadministratorrights.Allotheruserscanchangethelanguage,butthesettingisnot

permanentlysaved.

The‘UserDefault’languagesettinghasaspecialmeaning.Itisrecommendedtousethissettingonan

operatingsystemwithaMultilingualUserInterface(MUI).TheUPSdialogthenappearsautomaticallyinthe

languagethatyouhavesetunderControlPanel>RegionalSettingsfortheUIdialogs.

IfalanguageisnotsupportedbytheBeckhoffUPSdialog,thedialogappearsinUSEnglish.
